After connecting the NetFUNNEL service, you can start using traffic control.

To control traffic, you need to create a 'segment' in the Basic Control, Path Control menu.

Segment: A managed work unit for traffic control.
- To use Basic Control and Path Control, you must create a segment on each feature screen to set the control section.
- Basic Control enters a single URL into the segment and Path Control enters a start and end URL into the segment to control traffic.

Features

Traffic control is supported in two ways.

Basic control: Controls access to a single URL.
- If you have identified a single URL where you are concerned about traffic spikes, we recommend controlling traffic through a basic control segment.
Path control: Control traffic entering a segment by specifying the start and end URL path values.
- If a unique traffic spike URL is not identified, or if traffic spikes are expected on a contiguous section of your site, we recommend controlling traffic with a path control segment.

Cautions

The segment cannot be outside the main domain of the registered project.

For example, if the main domain associated with the project is https://www.stclab.com, the URL you can specify in the segment must start from stclab.com.

If Web / Mobile (Android, iOS) Agent is not installed, you cannot control traffic even if you create a segment.
